July 29th(2): Geek Force has released a new issue of Rick, the Cryptozoologist! And Redphantom posted two rants today! One of dicarded Rick Strips Scripts, and one, Inane Jokes, a short story about Rick. There will be more Rick products in the coming weeks. July 29th: Redphantom has posted 11 Rick strips we never used, nor will we ever use, and he is going to post his short story featuring Rick tonight which is currently 17,729 words but is going to go through a draft between now and then so may be shorter or longer, and, Geek Force is all set to release another issue of Rick tonight to celebrate his first birthday. July 28th: Geek Force has released the 61st issue of Rick the Cryptozoologist, tomorrow it will release the 62nd in honor of Rick's first birthday, it will introduce redesigns to the Rick portion of the site, it will introduce a Rick store, and Redphantom will post a short story staring Rick. Come back tomorrow and check it out. July 21st: Geek Force has released Rick Issue 60. In other news, the updates to the Rick portion of the site, set to go online July 29th, 2010, the one year anniversary of Rick's debut, are chugging along. Redphantom has now done all of our cryptids and recurring characters in colors. There are bios for all of our original cryptids and non-original ones, as well as for all of our characters, which Redphantom is working on getting done at the moment. There will be some other updates to the site as well, which Redphantom will be mum on for now, and also a rick strip that day. So, come to the site July 29th to see all of our new content. July 14th: Geek Force has released Rick Issue 59. In other news, the updates to the Rick portion of the site are coming along nicely. The new archive pages are done, and now Redphantom is working on bio pages for all our original cryptids, non-original crytpids, and all our characters. This was an idea originally proposed by Stephen the Grand, but one we have just now moved to implement. July 7th: Geek Force has released Rick Issue 58. Also, as a minor update, Redphantom would like to announce two things. One, the Rick, the Cryptozoologist portion of this site is being redesigned and the changes are set to be debuted on July 29th, the anniversary of Rick's premiere. Redphantom has already done a part of it. It will be basically the same, with more graphics given the fact that we have more now, and with images of Rick and John as they are now, seeing as they have evolved in the past year from the first drawings. The second announcement is that there will be a Rick strip released on Thursday July 29th to celebrate Rick's first year. It will not be a special issue, however, there will be a strip released that day. There is more content being developed for Rick's birthday, however, in the spirit of not letting our readers down, we are keeping that secret for the time being. We also still have stuff relating to Geek Force the Webtoon in the works. Unfortunately, that project is going slowly. June 30th: Geek Force has released Rick Issue 57. By the way, Geek Force should be making it's return later this year. Likely we'll have to rebuild our fanbase for it from scratch... April 28th: Geek Force has released Rick Issue 48. April 21st: Geek Force has released Rick Issue 47. April 14th: Geek Force has posted Rick Issue 46, and Redphantom posted a new rant, at novella length, which is entitled The Etherist. For those of you who saw it before this morning, Redphantom apologizes for it not being very friendly formatted for reading. Redphantom was tired as he posted, and had a very difficult time with what seems like a simple task. It was very hard to get The Etherist posted, a lot of technical and personal issues arose for Redphantom to delay it. And it was a hard rant, warranting three drafts. Redphantom has also packaged The Etherist into a pdf file due to it's length. April 13th: Redphantom has posted a new rant, entitled The Etherist. It stands at novella length, so wait to read it until you have some free time. It is designed to be read all in one sitting. Redphantom has another epic rant that he is breaking into parts, much like Come Hither. This is not one of those rants. This is meant to be read in one sitting. It is very violent and intense in places. It is also interesting for anyone who likes Geek Force, the Webcomic. April 7th: Geek Force has released Rick Issue 45. In other news, Redphantom will be posting a new rant no later than April 14th. It is another dark story, much like the Nightmare Machine. And it is intense in places, though in a different manner than the Nightmare Machine. The story focuses on two characters which will become important in Geek Force later on, Virus I, Virus from Geek Force's father, and Freak, the international terrorist. It also contains a few other characters which appear in varying degrees. And yes, Geek Force the Webtoon, is still being worked on, Geek Force has just hit some setbacks. The working title for the upcoming rant is The Etherist. March 31st: Geek Force has released Rick Issue 44. March 26th: Geek Force has released Rick, the Cryptozoologist Issue 43. Sorry, we put out a stellar Rick Issue and Redphantom was busy with that, and then he just had other things. September 11th: The Special 9/11 Issue of Rick, the Cryptozoologist has been released. Redphantom's 9/11 rant will come tomorrow, it is more to criticize the politicization of 9/11 and what America did in response to 9/11: destroy it's own soul. May all the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, at the world trade center, at the pentagon, and on flight 93 rest in peace. May all of the victims families and the nation to which they belonged have found the strength to keep on living without them, and may they continue to find that strength. September 9th: Issue 7 of Rick, the Cryptozoologist has been released. The comics will likely be released later in the day, as Geek Force has been working on it during the day in addition to their other things, and Redphantom doesn't mix the art and the text and post it until everyone has gone home. It will be released on Wednesdays though. In other news, look for the special 9/11 issue of Rick, the Crptozoologist and Redphantom's 9/11 rant on Friday. September 2nd: Issue 6 of Rick, the Cryptozoologist has been released. Later in the day again, because Geek Force is working on it's top secret project. The Stephen Issue of Rick is on the way. Although, the one released today Redphantom is pleased with because it is one of his favorites. Redphantom almost had to make another strip based upon previous artwork which may be released before next Wednesday as a special issue. Anyway, he writes about five to seven scripts and lets either Stephen or Dustin choose which they want to draw. This week, Dustin chose the drug one, one of Redphantom's favorites. In other news, Geek Force has decided they will do a Rick, the Cryptozoologist strip on September 11th. So, there will be two strips next week. One for September 9th, and then a special issue about 9/11. Possibly based on the use of the incident as a propaganda tool, Afghanistan, the conspiracy theories(against, Islamic terrorists took down those buildings, not the U.S. government.), or about how America sold its soul because of that incident. There are many angles Geek Force can take it from. There will also likely be a Redphantom rant next week. Especially since Dustin disagrees with some of Redphantom's views, so to speak freely and be able to respect Dustin, Redphantom will publish a rant. Possibly aimed at President Obama if he decides to use 9/11 to justify the failing war in Afghanistan. Speaking of rants, Redphantom is about to enter a more intensive writing period on Geek Force's top secret project, so rants may be scarce until the end of October. August 26th: Issue 5 of Rick, the Cryptozoologist has been released. August 24th: Redphantom has released a new rant, entitled Come Hither Part I. August 19th: Issue 4 of Rick, the Cryptozoologist is out. It was released a bit later in the day because Redphantom was working on splicing audio together for a project which isn't an animated version of our flagship project, Geek Force the Webcomic. But, if it was, it would be an extended version of Issue 3 on steroids. Redphantom is still working on his rant, but rants take a backseat to other stuff. He might have to release a smaller one while he works on the new Pekoe one, which may even have to be released in parts. August 12th: Issue 3 of Rick, the Cryptoxoologist is out. Redphantom is also working on his next Pekoe rant, he actually wrote a plot outline and everything. It's just a feel good story, really. August 5th: Issue 2 of Rick, the Cryptozoologist is out. Redphantom made a decent voting incentive for it. And he's still working on a couple of rants, and today is the day Geek Force works on it's top secret project. August 4th: The first blog post for the Rick the Cryptozoologist's blog has been released. Along with the RSS feed to inform about updates to the blog. Redphantom has also added a privacy policy to the site because our lovely ads now collect enough information that we need it. In other news, Redphantom is working on a sequel to The Great Cannabinoilis Pekoe and another rant. He doesn't know when they will be released but he is working on them. They mostly deal with religion, and the abuse of religion and it's negative aspects. The second gag strip gets released tomorrow. July 29th: The first issue of our new gag strip Rick, the Cryptozoologist, has been released. Rick also has a separate site where he has sightings of Cryptids, RSS feeds, and eventually comic archives and a blog. Redphantom also updated the copyright notices on the entire site and made small changes to almost every page. There will also be changes to Geek Force's hidden profile page. July 24th: As you may have seen at the top of the page, Geek Force is launching a new weekly gag strip, seeing as Redphantom's rants aren't nearly as popular as the comic. The strip is Rick, the Cryptozoologist, a character we're had for about three years. We're had the Geek Force characters for about five. Speaking of Geek Force, the comic went on hiatus in a really inconvenient spot in the story, don't worry, we will finish Geek Force some day, but for now, it has to be put on hold. For several reasons, not the least of which is that it's an intensive project and Geek Force doesn't have too much time right now. We'll post updates on that as they become available. As for Rick, it's a good project, or at least, we hope it is. It has the same political humor, it's more like a short three panel weekly cartoon, but it is much less intensive. So, we should avoid the previous trouble we had with our deadlines with Geek Force, the Webcomic. Three issues are done, pretty much. The gags are written, the art is done, Redphantom just needs to put the art together and add text, with real word balloons. And this way, Geek Force still has time to work on their top secret project. The site will be going down for a few hours one day over the next few days when Redphantom adds the new section for Rick, the Cyptozoologist. Come by the site next Wednesday to check out the first comic. In other news, Redphantom put out a new rant earlier this week. July 20th: Well, it isn't about Michael Jackson, but, it is a rant. Sorry, but it seems like Redphantom was a little slow to get a rant out, so too much time passed to make a decent rant about him and for it still to be relevant. Fortunately, Redphantom has replaced his original rant with one much better, one about, of course, The Great Cannabinoilis Pekoe. Redphantom will try and put rants out more often, though, his life is still a bit of a mess for the moment, so, no promises on when new rants will come. Redphantom will also post any other updates about Geek Force as they become available. July 11th: Sorry for the lack of update, and for not posting any kind of content whatsoever. Geek Force the Webcomic is still on hiatus. Geek Force, now consisting of four members, only three of whom have characters in the comic are working very slowly on another project. Partly because we want to avoid the earlier works in this project from being as bad as the early comics, so, we're trying to learn before we release something publicly, and, we want to be sure it goes through. All Redphantom is doing for this project is the writing and the technical aspects of the art. Stephen the Grand and DC are doing the real artwork. We're also really behind, and Redphantom has rarely been behind on writing before, even in the worst of the comic delays, so, ultimately, the decision to put the comic on hiatus seems to be the correct one. Every member of Geek Force is busy trying to sort out other things, so, it would make it hard to do a Webcomic right now. We'll release more info on our top secret project when Redphantom is confident it will come to pass. Geek Force was actually working on this before the comic, and during a large part of it's production, and it fell through before, several times. So, Redphantom won't release info on it before he is sure it will be released. The comic was mainly designed to give us something to do until this came through. That's why it's more Redphantom and Stephen's thing. In other news, Redphantom made a rant which is called Michael Steele is Whiter than Mr. Rogers. Redphantom will also post another rant soon, which deals with the media obsession with Michael Jackson and celebrities in general. Plus, even though My True Calling is Killing Babies didn't do as well as even our lowest rated comics, he still wants to do a sequel to it. Redphantom will do his best to keep the site updated. May 19th: Geek Force, the Webcomic has been placed on indefinite hiatus while Redphantom sorts out some personal things. Redphantom still plans to post rantings and things, his big 17 page rant was something of a test to see if he could use that for content for the site should Geek Force go into a hiatus. A fair am mount of people seemed to read it, so, Redphantom might use rants and short stories for content. It only took a weekend to do that entire rant, unlike most issues of Geek Force. With rants being less time consuming, he should still be able to do those. Redphantom could also create a page and RSS feed with news regarding to the hiatus and when it might end, assuming it does, if there is demand for that. May 5th: Redphantom has posted a new rant, coming in at 17 pages called, "My True Calling Is Killing Babies(And the Story of the Best Few Days of My Life.)" In other news, Redphantom is still working on Issue 30, he hopes to have it out this week. May 1st: Redphantom has finished the upgrades to the interface, they will be debuting shortly, once Redphantom has a chance to test them. In other news, Redphantom has posted a picture of Jew Avenger's laboratory. Keep in mind, this background is actually 1566x1200 pixels big, so in the comic we will never see as much of it as featured here. Also, this is the effect that will be used in Jew Avenger's flashbacks within Issue 30, as a parody of pulp comics. April 29th: Redphantom has updated the interface to support captions, which means progress as far as Issue 30 is concerned. All comics after Issue 30 will support captions at the bottom of the screen. Redphantom will try to get Issue 30 Part 1 out this weekend. It's good. In other news, Redphantom is also adding another feature to the interface, which will be retroactive, and effect Issue 1 Remake, Issue 19, Arc 2 end, Issues 25 and up, it is the ability to bookmark your place in a comic. Primarily so that Redphantom can link back to a comic with the bookmarking feature because he's so damn subversive and important points are mentioned in passing. The captions should also tell when it would be good to look back. This is also so that there can still be two parters. Right now, it would be impossible to skip to a specific place within a comic. Redphantom is fixing that. April 28th: Redphantom added the Issue 1 Remake as the latest comic, and created a section for special issues. Like the Halloween Issue. If you've never read it, it's Stephen the Grand's thing, and it's good. In other news, Redphantom is working on the interface so he can get Issue 30 out. Still working on it. Also, Redphantom is able to work on it again after getting the new Ubuntu/installing a new video card that was unsupported. Luckily, the high resolution makes up for all that pain and effort, one gig, bitches. April 24th: The Issue 1 Remake: How Not to Make a Good First Impression...AGAIN, has been released. It is quite a bit different from the original, satirizing a different topic, and having many new jokes. In other news, Issue 30 is still delayed. Redphantom will post updates on it's progress as it becomes available. April 18th: The remake of Issue 1 is at 43 panels. It's still basically the same comic only better and Redphantom took it in a completely different direction from the original. In other news, Issue 30 is actually delayed for the exact same reason Issue 1 was, the interface is giving Redphantom trouble. Redphantom will update about both of these. April 15th(2): Redphantom released his boring rant about Geek Force. The remake of Issue 1 is coming early tomorrow morning. April 15th: Today marks one year of Geek Force, and to celebrate, Redphantom is remaking Issue 1. Redphantom has fucked everything up in the past year that really matters to him, but if there is one thing he can be proud of, it's that he didn't die, and now he can make webcomics of a better quality than he did one year ago. Thus, Issue 1 gets remade. Look for the Issue 1 remake and Redphantom's special rant, as himself, later today. April 13th: Redphantom still doesn't have Issue 30 ready to go, but, he would like to announce that on Wednesday, April 15th, he will be doing something on the site to celebrate a year since the launch of Geek Force. Not like we're big or anything, but given what this year has been like for Redphantom, he feels like he needs to celebrate somehow. He isn't quite sure of all he will do yet, but there will be some things on the site to mark a year of us. Most of it should be boring. Also, Redphantom has decided that the proper way to celebrate one year of Geek Force would be poppy seed lemon muffins, as Redphantom ate them as he set up the site and wrote Issues 1 and 2. Both written on April 13th, at around noon, just before Redphantom went to go and watch his high school's production of Steel Pier. April 9th: Issue 30 is delayed. Above is the pulp comics style which Jew Avenger's flashbacks will be done in for Issue 30. Developing this style is a bit of a task, so it caused delays. Also, the interface will be upgraded to support captions below the panels. These factors both contribute to the delays. There will also be a kickass fight scene which will prolong production, so, Redphantom isn't going to post another release date, but, he will try and keep updates about the comic on the site. He really missed that up for Issue 29, partly because he didn't want people to know "Vernon" was Virus until they read the comic. April 2nd: Alright, Geek Force April Fools is over, hope those of you that saw it enjoyed it, those of you that didn't, it's in the news archive. As for Issue 30, it is slated for release next week. It will feature a flashback with Jew Avenger, and it will be a big one. For starters, it's a two parter, secondly, it introduces the super humans who would destroy the world of Geek Force. Much like Issue 23 was for AFTMOS and the Salvation of Humanity. Speaking of, the Salvation of Humanity will make a brief appearance. Freak and Virus I (Plus his super villain alter ego) will also get their proper introductions. Big issue coming up. April 1st: There's some big news for Geek Force today. Redphantom Xenpsychous has been born again as a Christian! So, in order to accommodate his new faith, there are going to be some changes to Geek Force. Firstly, no more dirty language. Redphantom is also going to do some editing to the earlier comics to remove all vulgarity and profanity. Jew Avenger will also no longer be appearing in Geek Force, and the other members will be given some super awesome new powers and traits because they're Christians. It's going to be totally rad. Geek Force is getting some new villains, too. Such as Mr. Charity, who goes around giving improvised housing to the homeless of Greenefield. That's Socialism, and Jesus would agree, those homeless people should work for their homes. They shouldn't just have it given to them. They aren't victims of the housing market, bad debt, bad circumstances, or any of that, they're just flipping lazy, and they got what they deserved. Born again Geek Force will also be tackling all of the town's abortionists, that will actually be the focus of the entire fourth story arc. What remains of the third will be spent dealing with the master scientist behind human cloning: Erebus. Geek Force is going to be tackling these foes because they believe in the sanctity of life. They will also be rallying support in the comic for the death penalty, and for a renewal of The War on Terror. Because those no good Muslim Americans have got to go. We will also get to see Geek Force's arch nemesis in upcoming issues, who is the evil city manager who fixed all the town's corruption and switched to alternative energy but is also a flaming homosexual in an open relationship. Geek Force says, reform, resign, or be stoned, sir. Because Geek Force doesn't believe that homosexuality is a choice. Also, get ready to learn about Vincentius's gay lover, because a cross dresser has to be gay. Also, each episode will be named with a quote from the bible, begin with an opening prayer, and end with a miracle which resolves that issue's plot. (Redphantom isn't sure how two parters will work yet.) Also, these changes will take effect for Issue 31, as Issue 30 is already in the works. And Redphantom doesn't know when he'll get around to censoring the old issues. Sorry guys, you'll have to deal with Redphantom's old hateful ways until he gets around to fixing the comics, until that time, he suggests reading the old issues with a bible nearby, just in case. Remember, Jesus saves. March 29th: Issue 29: The Cruel Hand of Fate has been released....about time. March 13th: Issue 29 at 102 panels, still on the way, but it probably won't be here until tomorrow because Redphantom has something else he has to work on. March 12th: Issue 29 is at 72 panels an is on the way, though Redphantom cannot resume work on it until at least 3 GMT-5. March 8th: Sorry, but Issue 29 has been pushed back to Thursday, Redphantom has some other things to work on right now. New merchandise is still coming to the store, and Redphantom has planned a few site upgrades as well, which will incorporate more XML and make updating the site easier. March 4th: Issue 29 is scheduled for this weekend, and new merchandise is coming soon. February 22nd: Issue 29 delayed again...this has been a bad week for Redphantom, which is what caused the delays. February 20th: Issue 29 delayed until Saturday, sorry for the lack of update about it up until now. February 17th: Redphantom updated the little panel at the top of the page to link to Stephen's favorite issue, which is Issue 27: Uh isn't that what terrorists do? In other news, Issue 29 still planned for Thursday at this point. February 15th: Issue 29 is delayed until next Thursday. Also, two new RSS feeds has been added to the site. From now on, there will be three RSS feeds for the site. One for informing people of updates to the comic, one for Redphantom's rantings, and one for general site updates. February 12th: It's Thursday, and Issue 29 is supposed to be released today, but, with the timing of the release of Issue 28 it is not done yet. It's on the way, as are two new RSS feeds for the site. Our current one will be dedicated solely to comic updates, whereas another will be dedicated to site news, including news about delays in comics, and the third will be for Redphantom's rantings. Also, since rantings are easier than comics, Redphantom plans to release a few next Saturday. February 7th(2): Issue 28: Lets Get it On, has been released. This Issue is good as far as issues of Geek Force go. February 7th: Issue 28 is at 318 panels. Production on it slowed down considerably when it came to the action sequence at the end because the panels in action sequences take a ridiculously long time to make, and they have to be story boarded, and Redphantom has to try and get around the fact that he has no sense of depth in his drawings. This comic was also delayed by Redphantom needing to sleep, and by him sleeping way way too long, and it wasn't even good sleep...anyway, Redphantom is almost done with the big fight scene, so, with any luck it will be out soon. February 6th: Issue 28 is at 264 panels. Still on the way, Redphantom is working on the action sequence at the end. Yes, Geek Force will have more action now, because one of the great things about the new interface is that it is designed to handle larger comics. The only problem is that Redphantom keeps raising the bar for what comics should be...so, even though he cut the comics back to one a week ideally, he still can't meet his deadlines. Redphantom will get it figured out... February 4th: Issue 28 is at 189 panels. Still on the way, though Redphantom has to run an errand. February 3rd: Issue 28 at 124 panels, and Redphantom really likes it so far, which is rare for him. February 2nd: Issue 28 is still on the way, and pushed back to tomorrow. It is at 84 panels currently. Check above to see some preview panels from this comic. February 1st: Redphantom posted his Super Bowl Rant, and Issue 28 is on the way, though it may be tomorrow before it gets out. January 31st: Issue 28 is now pushed back to tomorrow. Also, Redphantom will post a rant tomorrow, just because the Super Bowl is too much of an easy target. January 29th: As is customary for us, Issue 28 delayed until Saturday. Sorry that Redphantom forgot to post updates about Issue 28 before now. January 26th: Issue 28 planned for release this Thursday, of course it could be delayed for the normal reasons, in which case Redphantom will post about it. It could also be delayed because Geek Force's hometown, Springfield, MO, might be hit by an icestorm. One time that happened, and Redphantom lost power for over a week. Not only would he not be able to post a new comic if that happened, but he also wouldn't be able to post a message saying he couldn't post. So, if you see this message past Thursday, January 29th, that is likely the reason why. January 22nd(2): Issue 27: Uh...isn't that what terrorists do? has been released. Finally, after a disastrous production cycle with almost every delay imaginable. It is finally here. Redphantom hopes all our readers enjoy it, and that it was worth the wait. Redphantom had his issues with this comic, but in the end, he is pleased with the end result. Please look to the site for updates about when Issue 28 will be out. Redphantom might have another issue to deal with, and he has a job search going on. All things that will detract from time he can work on the comic, and then there is the fact that Geek Force has a few other projects which aren't solid enough to preview on the site yet. January 22nd: Issue 27 is at 261 panels, and it very nearly done. Again, this issue is mostly action, so it's not as much reading as it would seem. This issue will be released today, and it would have been released this morning, if it were not for a dillhole Redphantom lives with. January 21th: Issue 27 is now at 205 panels. Still coming along slowly, however, Redphantom is hopeful, and is crossing his fingers when he says this, he is hopeful that the nightmare of this comic's production will end tonight or tomorrow. He really hopes it does, because this comic has left Redphantom feeling drained. 61% of the panels in this comic have no dialogue. It's action packed, two fight scenes, one with sword fighting in it. Once again, Redphantom will post updates on this comic as he finds the time. January 20th: Issue 27 is now at 148 panels, and is coming along, however slowly it is doing so. It is completely action packed. With 65% of the panels thus far having no dialogue. It also has no big panels so far, and Redphantom expects it to stay that way. However, it has a lot of closeups. Closeups are relatively new for Geek Force. In this issue, they are used liberally. This issue is intense, and is done in a more serious tone than some of our others. Redphantom will post updates on it's progress as he finds time. Oh yes, and the era of Obama has come at last. As hard as things have been so far, now comes the hard part. Real and lasting change. January 19th: Issue 27 is now at 99 panels, 78% 0f which have no dialogue. This issue is action packed. It has two fight scenes in it, one of which contains sword fighting, which is always a challenge. Redphantom will post updates about Issue 27 as he gets the time to do so. January 18th(2): Issue 27 is now at 70 panels, and is coming along. Redphantom is currently in the middle of doing a fight sequence, so that is the cause of the hold up, that, and the amount of stuff that needed to be drawn. Though it is little things that added up, and partly, it is the fact Redphantom thought he had more artwork than he did. He always tries to reuse things if he can. One thing Redphantom will say about this issue is that it's violent. There will be two fight scenes by the time it is done, and both of them are rather brutal. Brutal for the characters,(so brutal someone loses a cock.), and brutal to create. Redphantom will keep posting updates about the comic as he has time. This one will have an insane number of panels, but most of it will be action, along with the average amount of dialogue. January 18th: Issue 27 is at 31 panels. Not a lot got done yesterday, because Geek Force was working on another project of theirs which involves cameras. Hopefully this project will see the light of day sometime in February. Things like this may continue to cause delay for the comic. Redphantom hopes to have the comic out today. January 17th: Issue 27 at 20 panels. The backgrounds really gave Redphantom trouble, this issue is going slow, but Redphantom is working on it. January 16th(2): Redphantom really wanted to get Issue 27 out today, but, it gave him more of a challenge than he originally anticipated, so, look for it tomorrow. Sorry it couldn't have been out today. January 16th: Redphantom is still working on Issue 27 and he still hopes to get it out today. January 15th: As is the custom, Issue 27 is on the way, however it is now set to be released tonight or tomorrow morning. Redphantom will post updates on Issue 27's progress when he has the chance to do so. January 12th: As you might have noticed, Redphantom made some improvements to the main site today. He also made improvements to the archives section, and especially in the sections dedicated to the individual story arcs. Issue 27 slated for release this Thursday, now viewable in IE7. January 10th: Redphantom still has to work out some personal issues, so Issue 27 is still delayed, however, Redphantom has discovered a major flaw in the new comic interface: that it didn't work under many browsers in Windows. Redphantom has fixed this. Look for updates about when Issue 27 is to be released early next week. January 8th: Redphantom still has things that he has to take care of right now that are not Geek Force, the Webcomic, so, Issue 27 is delayed once again. As for how long, Redphantom will post about that early next week. January 6th: Issue 27 has been delayed until at least Thursday due to Redphantom needing to take care of some issues in his personal life. Also, from now on Geek Force is being moved to a weekly schedule as opposed to a biweekly one. This move is long overdue, seeing as we haven't released two comics in one week in a long time, but now it is official, Geek Force is supposed to, and ideally will update only once a week now. January 4th: Issue 27 is now slated for release on Tuesday. December 28th: Redphantom created a new section of the site for his random rants. These will be an archive of all of his postings on comicspace, and also, Issue 27 is scheduled for release on Tuesday. December 27th: Issue 27 is scheduled for release next Tuesday. December 24th: Redphantom still doesn't know when Issue 27 is going to be released. This week he has been working on another comic which will be made in print form which Geek Force plans to release independently through a print on demand publisher. It will be available on the site when Geek Force finishes it. Also, Redphantom has created a profile on the site Comicspace in the hopes of having a method to connect to our fanbase/get new fans. Anyway, Redphantom's latest post is about his father, and the post may or may not be true. Oh yes, and happy holidays everyone. December 21st(3): Issue 26: Dreamcatcher? has been released. In other news, Redphantom has no idea what the comic schedule for this week will be. He has another project which he is working on which is going to have to take time away from Geek Force. Redphantom's goal is at least one comic this week. December 21st(2): Issue 26 at 105 panels, Redphantom is working on the final scene now. Panels from the upcoming comic posted above. December 17th: Issue 26 is slated for release Thursday night. December 15th(2): Issue 25: From the Darkness, was released Saturday. Today, Redphantom went and added more links to the comic. The links are basically just random bullshit Redphantom thinks to link to as he reads through the comic. Also, this week, Springfield is supposed to get some wintery weather, which means Redphantom might lose power, and that means that Issue 26 will be delayed, and Redphantom wouldn't be able to update about it. Right now, it seems more likely that Issue 26 will be released on Wednesday or Thursday rather than on Tuesday. December 15th: Issue 25: From the Darkness, was released on Saturday. It is the opening comic in Geek Force's latest story arc. Redphantom is going to try and have Issue 26 out this week. However, it is worth noting that Springfield, Missouri, where Geek Force lives, is about to be hit by a major ice storm. A couple of years ago, we got hit by an ice storm and Redphantom lost power for nine days. So, work on the webcomic might not be entirely possible this week, and if it isn't, Redphantom won't be able to post about the delays, which is why Redphantom is posting this message, if Issue 26 doesn't come out this week, and Redphantom doesn't post updates about it, then that probably means Redphantom has lost power. Just be aware. December 13th(2): Issue 25: From the Darkness has been released. This is the first in our new story arc, and in it, Redphantom put a technique Stephen and him developed last week to it's first field test. December 13th: Issue 25 is not quite finished yet, but it is at 93 panels, so it's close. However, Redphantom is unsure of whether he will be able to finish it before midnight today. So, his new plan is to have it out late tonight, or more likely than not, early tomorrow morning. It should be here by morning, that way people can read it just after church. A few panels from Issue 25 have been posted above. December 12th(2): Issue 25 has been delayed once again, Redphantom is going to try to have it out today. This issue has been bogged down by the large number of characters it has, the number of backgrounds it has, the complexity of the backgrounds, Redphantom's previously mentioned computer problems, and, Redphantom's natural drive to sleep. Posted above is a smaller version of one of the backgrounds from the upcoming comic which gives away it's setting. December 12th: Issue 25 is delayed until later today. December 9th: For those of you that haven't been to the site in the past week, the ending to the Gaming Tournament has been released. In other news, an update on Issue 25, it should be coming around Thursday of this week. Redphantom was hoping to have it out by today, but his motherboard and CPU died over the weekend, so that hindered his plans a bit. Luckily, Redphantom has got a temporary computer set up for work on the comic for this week, and parts for his new computer should be arriving tomorrow, so, this situation should not have any more interference with work on the comic, and hopefully Redphantom will meet his deadline(hopefully). December 2nd: The ending to The Gaming Tournament Arc has been released. Geek Force is not calling this issue Issue 24, because the original Issue 24 got nixed by Redphantom because he deemed it a failure. The ending also contains a segment from the unreleased, unfinished, Issue 24 which did not suck so much. In other news, Redphantom has not completed Issue 25 yet, but it is still on the way. Hopefully the ending to the Gaming Tournament Arc will hold people over until it is released. With the deleted segment, it is 56 panels, so it should give people something to read as Redphantom works on completing Issue 25. Also, Redphantom has finally completed the new interface, and it can be seen in action on the ending and Issue 19. Redphantom also went back and made some final adjustments to the old interface in the hopes of making it run more smoothly. December 1st: Ok, Redphantom is hoping to have the next issue up tomorrow, and he is sorry about his output being so low in November. November was a rough month for Redphantom. Still, he manged to complete the new interface, as displayed on Issue 19. The links are funny, you should check them out. Redphantom also made one last upgrade to the old interface to make it run more smoothly. November 25th: Redphantom finally finished the new comic interface, and he redid Issue 19 with it. All in all, Redphantom is very pleased with the new interface. In other news, new comics should be released this week, with Issue 25 being released in the next two days or so, and with Issue 24 staying unreleased.(Although an ending to the Gaming Tournament Arc will be posted with Issue 25.) November 12th: Issue 24 coming as soon as possible. November 4th: Issue 24 should be coming on Wednesday. We won't try to release a comic today, instead, we would like to encourage our small handful of readers to go out and vote. e. October 31st: Redphantom added Stephen the Grand's Geek Force Halloween special to the main site today. In other news, Issue 24 is in progress, and will hopefully be released this weekend, but, it is worth noting that this weekend Issue 24 has to compete with Ubuntu this weekend. October 23rd: Holy hell! Issue 23 Part 2: Just Stupid has finally been released. In other news, Issue 24 will hopefully be released before Tuesday, but at this point, Redphantom really just wants it to be released in less than three weeks. Also in the news, there might actually be hope now that Issue 25 will debut the new interface as planned, as Redphantom has finally made progress on it. October 14th: Issue 23 part 2 should be released today. October 12th: Issue 23 Part 2 is still coming, and is now planned for release today or tomorrow morning. Also, Redphantom wanted to say that there is a hidden link on this page that links to pictures of Geek Force. It's not hidden very well, it should be easy to find. October 11th: Issue 23 Part 2 is at 31 panels, and is coming ASAP. Hopefully on Sunday. Redphantom will try to keep posting updates on the site about it. October 10th: Issue 23 Part 2 is scheduled for release today. October 7th: Issue 23 Part 2 is scheduled for release tomorrow. Redphantom also put up a page with pictures of Geek Force dressed as their characters at Artwalk, plus one picture of each of us out of costume. Also, as you probably saw above, the real Shadow has gone missing, and has most likely died. September 29th: Issue 23 Part 1: The Salvation of Humanity has been released. Part 2 is going into production tonight, and is scheduled for release tomorrow. Of course, everyone knows how reliable the Geek Force schedule is. Issue 24 is also slated for release this week. This would be good, because then Redphantom would have from this Thursday to next Tuesday to finish the new comic interface, which will debut, along with the next story arc with Issue 25. September 26th: Issue 23 has been pushed back once again to Friday morning. It is at 101 panels, mainly because it has a lot of movement, and because what was supposed to be the opening scene got away from Redphantom. This is also more of a "serious" comic, and contains some things that will become important to the plot later. September 25th(2): Issue 23 slated for release later today. September 25th: Issue 23 is at 81 panels, and is not finished yet, and it's release has been pushed back to Thursday morning. September 24th: As you can see, Redphantom has made a few changes to the site. These changes have been planned for a while, but Redphantom did not have time to implement them until today. To be honest, Redphantom didn't really have time to make the changes to the site today, he only made the changes because he thought it would take him a lot less time than it did. Redphantom does this underestimating time thing frequently, which is part of why Geek Force is so bad with the delays in new webcomics. Speaking of that, Issue 23 is now planned for release today. September 19th: Issue 23 is at 55 panels. September 18th: Issue 23 is at 19 panels. September 17th: The constitution was signed 221 years ago today, so Redphantom put up an image of a building under construction, because a true democracy is always under construction. Issue 23 will be released today or tomorrow. September 12th: Issue 23 is planned for release this weekend. September 11th: Redphantom put up an image and text to recognize 911, and Issue 23 is still in the works. September 9th: Just an update on Issue 23, it's still in progress and it will be released as soon as possible. Also, congress will most likely vote on offshore drilling this week. Issue 21 satirized this topic. September 6th: Issue 23 is to be released tonight or early tomorrow. September 5th: Redphantom put up an image of protesters because 234 years ago today 55 delegates met in Philadelphia at the First Continental Congress to organize a protest to the unfair policies of Great Britain. In other news, Issue 23 Part 1 is scheduled for release either today or tomorrow. Issue 23 Part 2 is scheduled to be released the day after Part 1 is released. September 3rd(3): Issue 22: The Complex has been released. The entire issue actually had to be rewritten yesterday morning, after Redphantom released that there were many jokes that were irrelevant, as this issue was written over a month ago. In the end, this wound up being good for the issue. In other news, Issue 23 will almost definitely not be released on time. This is because it has many new characters and backdrops to be drawn. September 3rd(2): Issue 22 is at 64 panels. September 3rd: Issue 22 is at 37 panels, and almost each one contains movement, more movement than Redphantom originally thought they would. That is one of the reasons why it did not make the 8:00 release. It will be released sometime this morning. September 2nd: Labor Day is over, thus the two images that were posted on the site in recognition of both Labor Day and the start of WWII 69 years ago today have been taken down. So far, there have only been a few monthly occasions when Redphantom has put such images up on the site, but he has decided that he will begin doing this more often, extending the practice to cover "geeky" occasions and a few holidays. Redphantom has decided to do this because he thinks it's kind of cool, and it's not time consuming enough to detract from work on the comic, since most of the graphics posted on the site for a holiday are public domain works Redphantom didn't create himself or simplistic. In other news, thus far, Issue 22 is on schedule for a rare 8:00 release tonight on the site. So, keep your fingers crossed September 1st: Redphantom put up two images to mark two occasions today. The first is an image and a quote marking the German Invasion of Poland in retaliation for the Gleiwitiz Incident and the beginning of WWII. Of course, the Gleiwitz Incident, which was a "Polish" attack on on the German radio station Sender Gleiwitz, was actually a staged attack by the Nazi Government to justify a war with Poland in the eyes of the German people. The second image recognizes Labor Day, which recognizes laborer's rights, an idea deeply rooted in Socialism. In other news, Issue 23 has officially become a two parter. August 30th: Issue 21: What About Modding? has been released. This issue chronicles the continuation of the final match between Virus and Shadow, as well as the return of Vincentius, and yes, and that was "the continuation of the final match" that you just read. Continuity wise, this issue takes place after Issue 22. This is because this issue is about offshore drilling, which is a more current, although not more pressing than the issue that Issue 22 will cover. Plus, there was no problem with switching the two issues. Everything in Issue 22 will be self contained, and the only thing you will know from Issue 21 about Issue 22 is that the match between Virus and Shadow does not end during the course of that issue. In other news, Issue 23 is likely going to turn into a two parter, and will serve as a transition between this current story arc and the next, although, this story arc ends with Issue 24. A new major character will also have an appearance in Issue 23. One last thing, Redphantom earlier stated that the new comic interface was set to debut with Issue 24. That was a mistake, he wants the interface to debut with the new story arc, and, contrary to what he thought at the time he made that statement, the new story arc begins with Issue 25. August 29th: Issue 21 is at 18 panels. August 28th: Redphantom has made a correction to Issue 20. He added a panel giving credit to the documentary "World at War" as the source of the World War II images and the one animated panel in the comic. In other news, Issue 21 has been delayed until tonight or early morning tomorrow. August 27th: Issue 20: Psychotic Cock has been released. It is an interesting issue, and contains a lot of interesting graphical effects. In other news, Issue 21 is slated for a release later today or early tomorrow. August 26th: Issue 20 at 97 panels, having turned into a lengthy issue. August 24th: Issue 20 is at 75 panels, and is going slower than expected because it contains a lot of effects. So, Issue 20 will be released ASAP, and Issue 21 will be released within twenty four hours of Issue 20. Possibly within hours, because it is an easy comic. August 23rd: Issue 20 is at 59 panels and is planned to be released today. Issue 21 is planned to be released sometime this weekend. August 22nd: Issue 20 at 15 panels. August 21th: Issue 20's release has been pushed back to Thursday morning. August 20th: Issue 20 is coming in the morning or early afternoon hours of today. August 17th: Issue 20 is delayed until Tuesday. This is due to Redphantom having to work on another project this weekend, and because Issue 20 will have a lot of artwork, and some interesting effects. Issue 20 only has one animated panel, because that one panel is over five megabytes in size. August 14th: Issue 20 is delayed until Friday. August 13th: Issue 20 has had another delay. Now it is slated to be released some time on August 14th. August 12th: The release of Issue 20 is delayed until tomorrow. August 10th: Issue 19: The Dope Lord was finally released on Saturday, it is 195 panels long. August 9th(2): Issue 19: The Dope Lord has finally been released. It is 195 panels long. In other news, Redphantom is working on version 2 of the Geek Force interface, which will pretty much be the same as version 1, only with some new features, like the option to read the comic sans interface. Version 2 of the Geek Force interface will also be considerably different under the hood, with leaner code that practically packages the comic itself. Version 2 of the interface is in it's early stages right now, and doesn't even have the basic functionality of version 1. The Geek Force Interface Version 2 is slated to make it's debut in Issue 24, the first issue of the new story arc. Although, Redphantom may package an older comic in the interface and put it on the site as a beta test. Also, Nagasaki had an atomic bomb dropped on it 63 years ago today. August 9th: Redphantom put up an image and quote for the 63rd anniversary of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. Issue 19 is at 143 panels, and Redphantom is in the home stretch as far as finishing it. Expect Issue 19 by the end of the day. August 7th(2): Issue 19 is currently at 120 panels and still is not quite done yet, although Redphantom has finally made it past all the heavy satire. Normally Redphantom would cut an issue that gets this long, or at least split it into a two parter, but, to compensate for the extremely long delay, this Issue is being left long. Besides, Redphantom really wants to nail the War on Drugs. It's an issue so full of bullshit that one could do an entire comic about it. August 7th: Issue 19 is currently at 62 panels and there is still quite a bit of work left to be done for it. The good news is that Redphantom isn't stuck anymore. In other news, there will be another image posted to the main site on August 9th to mark the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. There will also be another quote, but Redphantom hasn't decided what it will be yet, although he does have several canidates. August 6th: Redphantom put up a picture and a quote to commemorate the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, which took place 63 years ago today, unleashing the constant spectre of nuclear war on the world. Issue 19 is still on the way, and will be released as soon as possible. August 5th: Issue 19 is currently at Fifty panels. It is going to be a long issue, and it is Geek Force's all out offensive against the drug war. The drug war has turned out to be a difficult issue to satirize, because it is so ingrained in our culture that drugs are inherently evil. Redphantom really wants to nail the drug war with this issue, and has gotten stuck while making this issue several times. Redphantom attributes this to the fact that there is nothing funny about the drug war. Issue 19 will be done as soon as possible. August 2nd: Issue 19 is currently at Forty Three panels. Redphantom should have time to work on it later today. July 31st: Issue 19 is currently at nine panels, and has pretty much been a textbook demonstration of Murphy's Law. That, and Redphantom has been working on some other things for Geek Force. Geek Force has some big things coming up that will continue to hinder production of the webcomic. July 29th: Issue 19 has had another unexpected delay, but is still in progress. July 27th: Wow, it's been a while since Redphantom has updated the site, and, bad news, Issue 19 is still not done. This is due to the fact that Redphantom unexpectedly had some other things to work on this week. The good news is that Issue 19 will definitely be released either late today or tomorrow morning. At least Issue 19 is a good issue, and will make a strong return from Geek Force's unexpected hiatus. As far as Issues 20 and 21 go, the plan at this point is that they will be released on Tuesday and Thursday, bringing Geek Force back to it's normal schedule. So far, Issues 20 and 21 are on schedule. They are written, which is usually where Redphantom is with the comic by Sunday. The thing is that story is rarely the cause of a serious delay for a comic. It is almost always the artwork that drags a comic down. The only issues that have been delayed due to writing were Issue 11 and the upcoming Issue 19. July 19th: Redphantom has read a news article about nationwide protests against the U.S. and Israel launching a war with Iran. As part of the protest, some protesters are having five minute "freezes", where they will stand in place for five minutes. In the spirit of this protest, Redphantom has frozen the site. A while back, Geek Force also did a protest comic, against this subject, Issue 11 parts 1 and 2. Redphantom counts it as one of Geek Force's better issues. Speaking of issues, Redphantom is starting to feel better after getting his wisdom teeth taken out, but Issue 19 is no closer to release. Redphantom will try to get Geek Force back on track this week. July 17th: Issue 19 still hasn't been released. This is partially because has Redphantom spent most of this week sleeping. The times Redphantom has been awake have been spent doing his other duties for Geek Force than the comic. Redphantom's new plan for the release of the next two issues is as follows: Issue 19 will be released whenever it gets done. Issue 20 is scheduled to be released next Tuesday. Hopefully after this, Geek Force will be able to get back on schedule. July 15th: Here is the release schedule for comics this week: Issue 19 is to be released tomorrow, and Issue 20 is to be released on Friday. July 13th: Setting up to work on Geek Force from Kansas City did not go as well as Redphantom planned. Issue 19 is delayed until at least Tuesday. Maybe more, since Redphantom is getting his wisdom teeth out this week, and that will surely interfere with comic production in some way. Of course, with Issue 19 being delayed, it reduces the ammount of work Redphantom has to do from two comics, to about a comic and a half. So maybe Issue 19's delay works out for the best. July 10th: Geek Force Issue 19's release will be delayed. Redphantom isn't sure when it will be released, because he's going on a weekend trip to Kansas City. Redphantom has got everything set up so that he can work on Issue 19 once he gets to his hotel, but he's not sure of how much work he'll get in before he has to do touristy things, so he can't set a definite time for when the new comic will be released. A certain superhero movie is being released that week, and some members of Geek Force are going to an early Friday showing of it. July 9th: Geek Force Issue 18 has been released. It was released late, but that's because it got sandwiched between Issues 17 and 19. Issue 17 needed more work because it was our big action comic, and Issue 19 needed more work because it's going to be our all out offensive against the war on drugs. The war on drugs is an issue that you need to get all your facts straight on before you go out and satirize it. Anyway, the script for Issue 19 looks great so far. That doesn't always mean it will make a good comic, but so far it looks good. The only other news is that the comics released during the week of July 14th might be delayed. A certain superhero movie is being released that week, and some members of Geek Force are going to an early Friday showing of it. July 8th: Due to the fact that Issue 17 was released late, and due to the fact that Issue 19 took longer for Redphantom to research and write than expected, Issue 18 will be released tomorrow morning sometime. July 5th(2): Geek Force Issue 17: The Real Idiotic Dumb Act, has been released. It has 80 panels total, making it the longest issue of Geek Force ever, but most of those panels are action. The issue of Geek Force also features some pretty good animated panels, or at least good compared to the panels featured in other issues. Of course, the other fight scenes took place in Absurdity Wars, and complex fight scenes wouldn't fit in with a game like that. In other news, the current story arc is set to end at Issue 24. Redphantom is already plotting out the next story arc, which will feature Geek Force actually doing superhero things, and more action comics. Not every issue of Geek Force will be an action comic, and all issues of Geek Force will have it's dialogue driven humor, but there will be more action in the Geek Force comics. As mentioned before, Geek Force the artists are looking to mix the action and humorous elements of the comic more. It is currently at 49 panels, 9 of which are animated. All of this is just the opening fight sequence, which is no longer the opening. The comic from panel 49 on has very little action, so it should go faster. Also, remember that the comics released during the week of July 14th might be delayed. A certain superhero movie is being released that week, and some members of Geek Force are going to an early Friday showing of it. July 4th: Geek Force Issue 17 hasn't been released yet, but Redphantom is going to try again tomorrow. The new Issue is currently at 28 panels, which are mostly action, because Issue 17 starts out with a good action sequence and then goes into the normal dialogue based humor. In Issues 18 and 19, Geek Force will try to mix the two together instead of just starting with an action sequence and going to dialogue. Redphantom will admit that it was hard to work today, because it's the 4th of July and all, plus at around nine, some people in his neighborhood started shooting off enough fireworks to fight a war with. Apparently they have also been moving from street to street doing this, and really pissing off Redphantom's neighbors. Apparently Redphantom's neighbors are also ready to call the police, so it might be a little bit before Redphantom gets back to work. Hopefully though, the new comic will be released tomorrow. Once again, this issue is delayed due to action sequences, and Redphantom is working on it now. Also, Redphantom will take a brief break from doing the comic at midnight, GMT-5, to put up an image and text recognizing the American Independence Day. A certain superhero movie is being released that week, and some members of Geek Force are going to an early Friday showing of it. July 2nd: Geek Force Issue 16 has been released. While Redphantom knows this issue is not perfect, he is very pleased with how it turned out. This Issue sees the debut of Geek Force's signature weapons. Only three of them are given names in the comic, but they eventually will all be given names. The reason that two don't have names is because each member of Geek Force gets to name the signature weapon that corresponds to their character. Yes, Geek Force is actually more than just Redphantom and Stephen, it's just that the comic is kind of Redphantom and Stephen's thing. The rest of Geek Force is working on their other project. The only member of Geek Force the characters that doesn't have a real life counterpart is Virus. That's only because no one in Geek Force has heard from the real Virus in almost two months.(Which sucks, because he would have been good for the story aspect of the Webcomic.) Redphantom wound up naming Virus's signature weapon. In other news: Issue 17 is already written, and all the character and backgrounds are drawn. It's another action comic(the webcomic is headed in that direction), but we should be able to use some of the stock drawings from Issue 16 in Issue 17. That's the good news, the bad news is that the comics released during the week of July 14th might be delayed. This is due to two things: 1.Redphantom gets his wisdom teeth taken out that week and 2. A certain superhero movie is being released that week, and some members of Geek Force are going to an early Friday showing of it. July 1st: Geek Force Issue 16 will be released early morning tomorrow. Issue 16 is in the works, with 13 panels so far, with four of those being animated. The reason for the delay is beacause Geek Force actually fights the Evictibots in this Issue, so the comic actually has characters in different poses. Plus it has all their signature weapons. June 27th: Geek Force, the Webcomic Issue 15 has been released, and only 15 minutes outside the eight to twelve window. In other news, Geek Force, Issue 8 retires from the eight latest issues page tonight. Issue 8 is Redphantom's favorite issue of the comic. June 24th: Geek Force, the Webcomic Issue 14 has been released, and on time. In other news, Redphantom's new production schedule is working well. Hopefully this means that Issue 15 will be released on time, because it's about the FISA bill and needs to be released this week. The only things that need to be done for Issue 15 are three backgrounds, two of which should be relatively simple, one should be hard. They would be done by now, but the background with Redphantom's house needed some revamping, and that turned into a major undertaking. June 23rd: Redphantom put up an image of George Carlin followed by his seven dirty words as a tribute to him. June 21st(2): Geek Force, the Webcomic is now officially licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 United States License, which is a type of copyright where the arist only retains some of the rights to his work. If you do want to contact us, it doesn't really matter which e-mail address you use, Redphantom is the person that checks both of them. June 21st: Geek Force, the Webcomic Issue 13 was finally released. The reason for all the delays was partly because of other projects Geek Force is working on. Part of it was also that the Webcomic was a little challenging to make. Part of it was also admittedly Redphantom not wanting to work on the Webcomic this week. Anyway, Geek Force hopes it was worth the wait. Hopefully this week there will be two Webcomics, and they will be on time. Issue 14 is actually already written, Redphantom wrote it last week on the same day as he wrote Issue 13. The next comic is exciting because it introduces a villain that lasts more than one issue, and it doesn't require more backgrounds to be drawn! June 19th: Issue 13 should be coming later today. Most of the artwork is done, which just leaves splicing it together and adding text. As of yet, Issue 14 has not been pushed back to Tuesday, although it will be late. June 17th: Issue 13 is coming in the early morning hours of tomorrow. In other news, Redphantom is trying to come up with ways to eliminate all of the delays that the comic has been experiencing. Right now, Redphantom is changing up the production schedule so that he's not trying to make the entire Thursday comic between Tuesday and Thursday. Look to see how this works next week, when Redphantom plans to put his new schedule to the test. Oh yes, and one last piece of news: the news page has come back to the present. (We no longer have news from the 12th, 13th, and 15th of July.) June 15th: Today is Father's Day, so Redphantom put an image on the front page: empty space surrounded by a border. It is meant to symbolize the fact that a lot of children today do not live with their fathers. June 13th: Geek Force, the Webcomic Issue 13 is delayed until Tuesday. June 12th: Geek Force, the Webcomic Issue 13 will be released sometime tomorrow. June 11th: Geek Force, the Webcomic Issue 12 has been released. Sorry to anyone who was disappointed Redphantom didn't update the store last weekend. He got busy troubleshooting sound problems. June 10th: Issue 12 is coming today or early tomorrow. Redphantom pushed back the original script he wrote for this comic in favor of a remake of Issue 2. The original idea Redphantom had for the webcomic will be featured(slightly modified) as Issue 14. (Which is good, because Issue 11 Part 2 drained all Redphantom of all of his jokes for a few days.) June 5th: The release of Geek Force Issue 12 has been postponed until next Tuesday. There will be merchandise relating to Issue 11 Part 2 released in the store this weekend. June 4th: Issue 11 part 2 was delivered four and a half hours after Tuesday ended. The reason for the delay is because of two things: one: this is the longest comic Geek Force has ever done. Issue 11 Part 2 is 55 panels long. The second reason is because this webcomic contains 21 animated panels, so, sorry for the long load time. Geek Force hopes to make up for the delay with the quality of the comic. May 31st: One poster was added to the store today. It features all the members of Geek Force. Next week, we will add new types of merchandise in addition to new merchandise of the same kinds we already have. May 29th: Geek Force Issue 11 part 1 has been released, and at 7:40. We're early for once. Partly because this Issue turned into a two parter and almost became a disaster, prompting Redphantom to stay up late finishing it. It is also early because Redphantom needs to watch the season finale of Lost. This webcomic implements a new feature, which is having 600x400 panels while having the controls and webcomic interface disappear temporarily. This is a feature that Redphantom has been looking to implement for a few weeks now, and it has been well tested, however, if this issue of the comic is glitchy, please e-mail Redphantom at redphantom@geekforcehq.com and let him know about the glitch. Redphantom will work on fixing it ASAP. (But not until after 10:00 GMT-5). In other news: more merchandise will be added to the store this weekend. Some of it will actually feature Geek Force(The superheroes.). May 27th(2): Geek Force Issue 10 has been released, at 10:20, which is not bad considering some of our delays recently, but not especially good. May 27th: Memorial Day is over, so the image in recognition of the 4081 reported troop deaths in Iraq has been taken off of the main page. Of course, that image is inaccurate now, and was for most of Memorial Day. The number of reported troop deaths in Iraq has risen to 4083 over the course of twenty four hours. In other news: there are no major delays for the webcomic, so expect it later today.(hopefully at Eight GMT-5). Also remember that the comic is released via RSS feed first. This is because the comic is actually posted right after Redphantom closes the site down. Most of the time that the site is closed during upload is spent modifying pages and links, and then testing those pages and links. May 26th: Today is Memorial Day, so Geek Force put up an image recognizing the 4081 reported U.S. Military deaths in Iraq. Geek Force hopes that the image will remind you not only of the fallen soldiers of the Iraq War, but also of the corrupt administration responsible for their deaths, and also of the Democratic Congress that has not used all means possible to bring the troops home. May 24th: Redphantom added seven new things to the online store today. There is the "My attic is haunted by orange trees" shirt. There are also two Linux shirts to coincide with Geek Force, the Webcomic Issue 9. There is also just a straight up Geek Force T-shirt. Also added were two Geek Force Coffee Mugs. Plus, last but not least, Redphantom added a Mission Accomplished Poster. Other than that, Redphantom also made some upgrades to the store site itself. May 22nd: Issue 9 of Geek Force, the Webcomic has been released, and only thirty minutes late. In other news, Redphantom is putting more merchandise in the store this Saturday. Plus he's putting up a special image on the Geek Force main page for Memorial Day(Not a comic, like Mother's Day. Mother's Day only had a comic instead of just an image because Redphantom got an interesting idea for a comic.) The other piece of news is that Redphantom posted a link to an article that filled him with joy today at the top of the page. May 20th(2): Issue 8 of Geek Force, the Webcomic has been posted. This one features animated panels and page that opens in a separate window. So, it has pretty much everything that Geek Force has done in previous comics. Geek Force had many difficulties in making this comic, but it's finally done. Geek Force hopes it was worth the wait. May 20th: The eighth issue of Geek Force, the Webcomic will be released tonight. There might be one final delay, and that is that the webcomic might released later than 8. It is on the way though, Redphantom is working on it right now. Issue 8 will also be the first Webcomic to be released via RSS feed. If you're tired of waiting on Geek Force's seemingly endless delays, subscribe to the RSS feed. It will notify you of when a new webcomic is released and tell you about the latest delays in webcomic production. (Hopefully there will be less of them in the future.) To subscribe, just click the orange RSS button and copy the URL of the page clicking the button opens to whatever RSS reading program you use. May 19th: There have been many delays in the production of the webcomic in the past few weeks. Hopefully the delays should cease now that Geek Force is out of high school, but, just in case they don't, Redphantom has set up a Geek Force, the Webcomic RSS feed. This feed will be used to notify people of when a new comic comes out, and also about delays in webcomic production. May 16th: This week was a bad week to try to make a webcomic. Geek Force Issue 8 has been postponed again until Tuesday May 20th. May 14th: The 8th Issue of the Webcomic has yet to be released, however, Redphantom has set the dates for when Issues 8 and 9 will be posted. Issue 8 will be posted on Friday, Issue 9 will be posted on Sunday, and then the Webcomic will get back on track Tuesday with Issue 10. May 13th: As expected, the 8th Issue of the Webcomic will be delayed in it's release. Maybe for a few days. Geek Force does not know for sure when they'll be able to finish it, so they will not give an exact date. This delay is mostly due to Redphantom needing to finish his final essay for his English class. The good news is that after that essay gets done, Redphantom is pretty much done with High School. He only has to take two finals and gets to skip the classes in which he does not have to take finals. So, Redphantom should have plenty of time to get caught up on Thursday and Friday of this week. Redphantom's goal is to get Issues 8 and 9 released by the end of the week. Issue 8 is coming along nicely so far, although there are still a few backgrounds and characters to be drawn. Issue 9 is looking good so far, but work hasn't really started on it yet. May 12th(2): Redphantom has made the updates to the site. Most of which are too small to notice. Work continues on this week's webcomics, although they probably will be late this week. This is due to the fact the Geek Force has finals and final projects, although, they get to opt out of some finals for having As in some classes, and in those classes they don't have to be there for finals. So, it will be interesting to see how those two factors play out. May 12th: This website will be down for a while at around 4:00 GMT-5 today for maintenance. Redphantom is reorganizing the webcomics by story arc. This is due to the fact that, after the 9th Issue is released, the webcomic achieve page will only list the eight most recent webcomics. Below the links to the eight most recent webcomics will be a link to separate pages containing links to all the webcomics in that story arc. This change is to prevent the webcomic achieve page from becoming bloated due to having the title panels of all the Geek Force Webcomics on it. In addition, the pages that have the links sorted by story arc will not have the images of the title panels on them to avoid them from becoming bloated. The other major change to the site will be the Online Store, Redphantom has made it less confusing by removing the flash panel and just having the images of the merchandise link to the page where you can buy it. All of these changes are done on Redphantom's computer, and are working just fine, the only reason he needs to shut down the site is to upload everything onto the server. The other major thing that is happening is Geek Force's last week of High School. So, they have final projects and finals. This may cause the webcomics to be late. Hopefully this will not be a repeat of two weeks ago, and hopefully, Redphantom will not have to cancel any comic this time. May 11th: Geek Force's short special Mother's Day comic is posted. There are also quite a few new Geek Force items in the online store. Redphantom is going to post pictures of the items below the flash panel, that way people can actually tell what they are. Also remember that this site will be closed sometime during the day on May 12th while Redphantom makes a tweak to the site. The site will not change much, Redphantom is just organizing the Webcomics by story arc, but, because of that, he will need to change links on almost every page of the site. Since so many pages will be modified, the site will be closed during the update. The update should not take long, and a page will be put up similar to the one used on Tuesdays and Thursdays to notify visitors of what is taking place. May 8th(2): There is a lot of news tonight. First and foremost is that Issue 7 has been posted. The rest of the news is about things that will go on between now and Tuesday on the website. On Saturday, Redphantom will be adding more merchandise to the Geek Force Online Store, if anyone's interested. On Sunday, Redphantom is releasing a special two panel Mother's Day comic. It will be posted on the main page. Thirdly, on Monday the site will be down for maintenance for a while. Redphantom is not sure how long it will take, but he is organizing the comics by story arc. Since this requires a change in a lot of the links on the site, it will be down while this upgrade takes place. May 8th: Tonight's webcomic may be released late. It will be released, Geek Force is just running a little behind on production. Expect to see the webcomic tonight or in the early morning hours tomorrow. May 6th: The Sixth issue of Geek Force, the Webcomic has been released, and only thirty minutes past Eight. Which to Geek Force, is acceptable(There's a reason that it's released *around* eight instead of at eight. Redphantom plans to post more items in the Geek Force store this Saturday. Redphantom made a mistake on Issue 6 of the Webcomic: On panel 24, Hurly says a line, but it's supposed to be Shadow's line. This has been fixed. May 5th: Redphantom added a new Navigation heading that is done in ASCII art. He also did some work on the Online Store, which should allow people to actually view Geek Force related merchandise. So far, there are three items: a shirt that says, "Save the rainforest, kill an herbivore" in black, the same shirt in green, and a poster of the Fight Climate Change flier as seen in Geek Force the Webcomic Issue #3. More comic and Geek Force related merchandise is coming at the end of the week. Oh, and on a side note, the webcomics this week involve a setting, characters, and mostly objects that have already been drawn. So there should be no repeat of last week. May 3rd: Work on the Webcomic that was to be Issue Six of the Webcomic has gotten too far behind, so Redphantom is canceling it completely. Now Issue Six will be the beginning of the character Redphantom's gaming tournament, which is to be the Comic's first true story arc. May 2nd: The release of Geek Force, the Webcomic Issue 6 has been pushed back to tomorrow. Geek Force should hopefully be back on schedule for next week's webcomics. April 30th: Redphantom is pushing back the release of Geek Force the Webcomic Issue 6 until Friday afternoon due to delays in production that Geek Force has been experiencing this week. April 29th(2): The new Webcomic has been posted. The original title for it was "God Hates You", but the name was changed to "Just a Tad". Geek Force hopes the comic was worth the wait. (Although Geek Force is really two people at the moment.) April 29th: Once again, tonight's Webcomic will be delivered late. Redphantom began work on the comic late this week because he was upgrading his computer. In the future, he may cancel the Tuesday comic of a week in which he is upgrading his computer. No comics will be canceled this week, although they both may be delivered late. Issue Five will be released sometime tonight or early morning tomorrow. It will definitely be released before Redphantom goes to bed. Redphantom apologizes for the inconvenience. Hopefully in the future, when Geek Force is more experienced, and we have more time(We're all seniors in High School, getting ready to graduate, so right now is hectic for us.), then we will be able to deliver our comics on time. Redphantom will post in the next few days when Issue Six of the Webcomic will be released. It may be delayed a day or two, because it is supposed to be animation intensive, and Redphantom does not want to sacrifice that just so that he can release it sooner. April 28th: Redphantom added a button that links to the Geek Force Online Store at zazzle.com. He also installed the new Ubuntu on his machine this weekend, so, although he is hard at work on Issues 5 and 6, they might be a little late this week. Redphantom also plans to redo the Navigation header as ASCII art so that it matches the style set for the rest of the site. (Look for the new header this weekend, because Redphantom will be busy on the Webcomics the rest of the week.) April 24th: The fourth webcomic has been released, although it was released late(sorry about that). This webcomic was supposed to be collaborated on by another member of Geek Force, but that did not work out. In other news, we got listed on Google. April 22nd: The third webcomic has been posted. This is the first issue that has been worked on by another member of Geek Force other than Redphantom. It is also the Webcomic that introduces his character. We also tried to fix some weaknesses of the previous two comics in this comic Redphantom has been informed that the Webcomic interface isn't working for everyone. If this is the case, then e-mail him at redphantom@geekforcehq.com with a description of the problem and he will fix it ASAP. April 19th: Meta data has been added to the site. Hopefully this will help us get listed on the major search engines. April 17th: The second Webcomic has been posted. It shouldn't have any glitches, but if it does, e-mail a description of the problem to redphantom@geekforcehq.com. Redphantom fixed the webcomic interface so that it preloads animated gifs. Redphantom also updated the site in various ways. Later he intends to add meta data to make the site searchable, since all the bugs have been worked out. April 16th: The webcomic interface and thus the webcomic itself now works on IE and Opera. Which means it probably works on other mainstream browsers as well. If you have trouble with the interface, please send a description of the problem to redphantom@geekforcehq.com. The webcomic still has one glitch, and that is that animated panels don't display correctly. So, if you get to a panel that seems to skip ahead of where the action is, press the prev. page button and then press the next page button again. Upon doing this, the animated panels should display correctly. This glitch will be fixed as soon as possible. April 15th: The first issue of Geek Force, the Webcomic has been posted two and a half hours late. This is due to various issues, like not getting the javascript to work and slow upload times. New issues of Geek Force, the Webcomic will be released every Tuesday and Thursday at about 8:00 P.M. U.S. Central Time. The webcomic was designed to be displayed in a 1024x768 screen resolution.
