Rick Issue 153 has been released. Geek Force decided to post our previously planned issue on SOPA tonight because, as many have pointed out, the bill will return in some
fashion. It is always important to oppose censorship, and to make sure that our elected officials do not merely wait for us to go back to sleep and then carry out an
unpopular action. This issue, of course, also just pokes fun at congress in general. Come back on Wednesday January 25th for another exciting issue.

Rick Issue 146

Rick Issue 146 has been released. In other news, as posted above, beginning Monday January 16th, 2012, Geek Force will be posting updates for Rick, the Cryptozoologist
bi-weekly. New issues will still be uploaded every Wednesday at 11 gmt-6 just as they always have been for the entire existence of the strip. In addition to this, a second
update will now also be posted on Monday nights at 11 gmt-6. We have made this decision for several reasons, first and foremost because we believe we can handle doubling
our workload. Primarily we are making this change because doing just one comic a week makes us feel claustrophobic. If we have any sort of recurring plot, it dominates the
strip. If we do character development, it must be minuscule to avoid overload. We are hoping that doubling our number of issues will allow us time to do so much more with
the characters and the plot. Rick, the Cryptozoologist will remain the same it has always been, humor wise, art wise, but starting January 16th, there will be much more of
it. We sincerely hope that this is a good thing.

Rick Issue 132 has been released. As promised three weeks ago, this is Redphantom's question to Liberals: what would happen if past progressives used our current tactics?
Why can we not stand up for what we believe? Why can we not fight for our principles? Why must we be so politically correct and "act like adults", to such a degree that
we cannot say the other side is wrong? That we must always bend? Liberals need to push harder. We need a Liberal Richard Nixon, someone ruthless and shrewd, to be our
Democratic President.

Rick Issue 129

Rick Issue 129 has been released. This comic comes with comment from Redphantom, which is simply this: to all my conservative friends, why do you continue to vote for
Republicans who run on values and then betray you once in office? I do have several conservative friends, with whom I get along with well, aside from their belief that I
"think too much", and "read too much". Many of them are terrified that Obama is a Socialist bent on destroying their values, and yet, they are dissatisfied with Republicans
that they elect. Why do they continue this practice? The Tea Party was no suitable answer to this problem. Why is it that the GOP can find no suitable primary challengers
that are sane? Redphantom's question to his fellow Liberals and analysis of their problem will come in three weeks time. As far as site news, as stated above, we will be
upgrading our hosting plan on September 5th to boast site performance and expand our storage space. The site may be down for a few hours on September 5th and 6th. In other
news, Geek Force has posted the bio page for the Yowie

Rick Issue 128

Rick Issue 128 has been released. Also, as posted above, Geek Force is upgrading it's hosting plan to improve site performance and so that we can have unlimited storage.
Redphantom has been thinking about it lately, and he would hate to have to delete old comics if we ever ran out of space. This should prevent such a thing from happening,
and it should boast the site's performance. The upgrade will take place on Monday September 6th, and should take about 24 hours to complete, which means the upgrade will
go until September 7th. The site should be down for a few hours during this time, but it will be up and operating at optimum efficiency in time for next week's comic.

Site Update

Rick Issue 122 was released on Wednesday, as usual, today, July 29th, is Rick's second anniversary of being on the Internet. Two years ago today at eleven o clock, the
first issue of Rick went up, and thus, Geek Force will be releasing two extra comics, and a couple of other pieces of content to mark this occasion. Geek Force, is, in fact
done with all the required work. Still, this year's release will differ from the last in that Redphantom will not be up at midnight to mark to the anniversary, and will
not be able to update the site during the day because of work. Still, Redphantom is much more prepared for this event than he was last year, and has thankfully avoided an
all nighter, which is what he was doing at this time last year. With those two factors combined, Redphantom will release the content in this order, at these times: Rejected
Rick Strips from Year Two will be released at 5:00PM GMT-6, Issue 123 will be released at 7:00PM GMT-6, The Bios for Kracken and Owlman will be released at 9:00PM GMT-6,
And the grand finale, Issue 124, a fully fledged Special Issue, along with the site updates will be posted online at 11:00PM GMT-6.

Rick Issue 122

Rick Issue 122 has been released, in other news, Friday will mark the release of two comics marking Rick's second anniversary, and one of them is written by Dustin. Plus,
it is a special issue. Redphantom has already collected his unused scripts, of which there are 20, and is prepared to release them on that day. There will be two new
cryptid bios, and of course, the site revamps. Geek Force is very pleased to have made it to two years, and hopes to celebrate again around this time of year for many years
yet to come. Many thanks to all of our readers who make this happen.

Rick issue 121

Rick Issue 121 has been released. In other news, Redphantom has not updated this to the site yet, but he has gone back and streamlined the code for the current archives,
which will be the HTML4 archives once the site updates are done. Redphantom did want to increase the efficiency of these, and have them as an option. It is not nearly as
efficient as the HTML5 code, but it should be an improvement over the current code. Eventually, the HTML5 version will become standard. When this happens depends on how
fast HTML5 is embraced and used throughout the Internet. Redphantom will also be adding bios for Owlman and the Kracken to site on July 29th. The artwork is done, but
Redphantom is holding off on it seeing as at the moment, there are two versions of the site on his computer, the current one, and the new one. He does not wish to add the
bios twice.

Rick Issue 120

Rick Issue 120 has been released. In other news, there is not much to report on the site updates. Redphantom has done most of the graphics, and progress is being made.
There will now be alternate logos for Rick, the current one will remain official, but new ones have been made which feature Rick's supporting cast, and some of Rick
original cryptids. These logos will randomly display each time the page for the expanded Rick site loads. There is also a logo with current versions of Rick and John to
denote our second year in business.

Rick Issue 119

Rick Issue 119 has been released. In other news, Redphantom, and it is excellent news, Redphantom has finally perfected his new archives code. He has removed thousands of
lines of code, and achieved his original goal of only adding one line of code per new archive page. Since HTML5 is not a standard, it will be optional for the time being.
There will also be a Low Bandwidth and a High Bandwidth option. Redphantom feels strongly about providing these options because he himself prefers Low key options, and
dislikes the lack of options. In regards to the new archives script, Redphantom's sole regret is that it ate up so much development time that he was unable to try and
develop new features. Still, this new script provides a platform to build upon. The script has been completed since July 1st, 2011. Redphantom's next phase of redesigns
is a more light one: making new graphics. Logos will need to be created for the new archives page, of course, and he is going to add some new graphics without making major
changes to the site, mostly to try and feature more of our supporting cast. Additionally, tonight Redphantom has updated the Rick page for our most satirized topics.

Rick Issue 116

Rick Issue 115 has been released, and so has an extra issue, Rick Issue 116, about Barack Obama's defense of his blatant violation of the War Powers Act. And yes,
Redphantom understands that every recent president, including Bill Clinton, has made a joke of the War Powers Act, but President Obama was the one who promised change, not
the same old politics in Washington. In other news, Redphantom is continuing web development and will be able to increase the efficiency of his Javascript, but not as much
as he originally wanted.

Rick Issue 114

Rick Issue 114 has been released. In other news, Redphantom will be updating the site for Rick's second anniversary, as he previously posted. One thing he did not mention
before, but wishes to make clear, is that there will not be any major aesthetic changes to the site. Last year there were major changes, but that was only because when
Redphantom originally designed the site, he had a week, and only the artwork for the first two comics. The site had to be basic and text oriented due to the fact that there
was no artwork. The purpose of Rick was, at that time, a side project to keep the site going until Geek Force could come off of hiatus. Redphantom is pondering throwing
in some art from Year Two, but most graphics should remain the same. Now then, news on changes Redphantom is working on, and things that will definitely come to fruition:
improvements to the archives. Last year, Redphantom wrote a script to manage our archives pages so that he would not end up having to edit dozens of pages each Wednesday.
It has worked perfectly. Updating is much less labor intensive now, and the only problem is how bloated the script is. Redphantom seems to have this problem, where it is
version 2 or 3 of his script before he can get the job and have it not be bloated. The new archives script will be the same on the surface, but, under the hood will be
much more lean. And flexible. Redphantom will no longer have to add lines for a new month, and will only have to add one line or less for a new category.

Site Updates

Redphantom has added two new categories to the archives for satirical topics. One is the War in Libya. Which is one Redphantom would have done sooner if any of our Libya
strips had no reused artwork. Now we have released a comic which has met this standard, and so now there is a Libya archive page. The other new category is an American
Imperialism. The U.S. government has for the most part stopped using the words War on Terrorism, so, now we're branding it as something else. In other news, Redphantom will
be doing some site updates for the second anniversary of Rick, and hopes to make this a tradition. The updates will be rolled out on July 29th. As with last year, Redphantom
will remain mum about it until he has them done so as not to disappoint. Although, last year, Redphantom got all the updates done he wanted to. Redphantom will announce
now that there will be a strip released that day, and it will be non satirical. Also, we will, as with last year, post the unused strips from the year. We have many this
year. Redphantom will also announce now that there will be no Rick ranting this year. Last year's almost killed him, and he is not proud of it.

Rick Issue 111

Issue 111 has been released. This one plugs nuclear power as a viable alternative to oil. Disagreeing with his fellow Liberals, and with all due respect to the victims of
the horrible accident at Fukushima's nuclear power plant, Redphantom is still a proponent of nuclear power. Redphantom agrees, steps must be taken to make it safer, and to
get profit out of it. There is also an issue of waste. Albert Einstein was quoted as saying, "Nuclear power is one hell of a way to boil water." True, but the sad thing
is, solar cannot generate more energy right now, or enough. The same goes for wind power. And burning water is a hell of a lot safer than burning oil. Fukushima made parts
of Japan, and perhaps even China unsafe, Chernobyl made Europe and Russia unsafe, Three Mile Island made parts of the United States unsafe. These accidents causes thousands
of diseases, but so does petroleum. Petroleum makes the entire world unsafe and covers it in a thick haze. We should use nuclear as a bridge, and then, once wind and solar
are honed, phase it out. Then we must clean our waste, and beforehand, make all of our reactors safe. They must not be built in hazardous areas, in much the same way we
must be careful, until we can abandon it, where we drill for oil.

Rick Issue 107

Issue 107 has been released. Geek Force would like to clarify that this issue is not intended to encourage the usage of illegal drugs. We would never encourage the usage of
substances we ourselves do not use. Nor would we encourage the usage of a substance the usage of which could risk a person their employment, or result in jail time. It is
merely intended to argue that drugs should be legal. Additionally, this issue is in no way intended to glamorize drug usage, quite the contrary, it is meant to portray
drug usage as something banal. Something which, in a world with murder, theft, rape, and violence seems a petty thing to crusade against.

offers his apologies, he had a long day at work yesterday and today is his 21st birthday. Besides, as small as these strips are, much work does go into them.

Rick Issue 60

Geek Force has released Rick Issue 60. In other news, the updates to the Rick portion of
the site, set to go online July 29th, 2010, the one year anniversary of Rick's debut, are
chugging along. Redphantom has now done all of our cryptids and recurring characters in
colors. There are bios for all of our original cryptids and non-original ones, as well
as for all of our characters, which Redphantom is working on getting done at the moment.
There will be some other updates to the site as well, which Redphantom will be mum on for
now, and also a rick strip that day. So, come to the site July 29th to see all of our new
content.

Geek Force has released Rick Issue 59. In other news, the updates to the Rick portion
of the site are coming along nicely. The new archive pages are done, and now Redphantom
is working on bio pages for all our original cryptids, non-original crytpids, and all
our characters. This was an idea originally proposed by Stephen the Grand, but one we
have just now moved to implement.

Rick Issue 58

Geek Force has released Rick Issue 58. Also, as a minor update, Redphantom would like to
announce two things. One, the Rick, the Cryptozoologist portion of this site is being
redesigned and the changes are set to be debuted on July 29th, the anniversary of Rick's
premiere. Redphantom has already done a part of it. It will be basically the same, with
more graphics given the fact that we have more now, and with images of Rick and John as
they are now, seeing as they have evolved in the past year from the first drawings.
The second announcement is that there will be a Rick strip released on Thursday July 29th
to celebrate Rick's first year. It will not be a special issue, however, there will be
a strip released that day. There is more content being developed for Rick's birthday,
however, in the spirit of not letting our readers down, we are keeping that secret for
the time being. We also still have stuff relating to Geek Force the Webtoon in the works.
Unfortunately, that project is going slowly.

Geek Force has released Rick Issue 49, and, it's been exactly one year since Redphantom
released My True Calling is Killing Babies, to be found in the Rantings section of the
site. That began the longer, short story style rantings. One, in part because Redphantom
just started thinking of them that way, and two, because for a few months, with Geek
Force, the Webcomic on hiatus, it was the only material on the site. By the way, Geek
Force should be making it's return later this year. Likely we'll have to rebuild our
fanbase for it from scratch...

Rick Issue 46 and The Etherist.

Geek Force has posted Rick Issue 46, and Redphantom posted a new rant, at novella
length, which is entitled The Etherist. For those of you who saw it before this morning,
Redphantom apologizes for it not being very friendly formatted for reading. Redphantom
was tired as he posted, and had a very difficult time with what seems like a simple task.
It was very hard to get The Etherist posted, a lot of technical and personal issues arose
for Redphantom to delay it. And it was a hard rant, warranting three drafts. Redphantom
has also packaged The Etherist into a pdf file due to it's length.

The Etherist

Redphantom has posted a new rant, entitled The Etherist. It stands at novella length,
so wait to read it until you have some free time. It is designed to be read all in
one sitting. Redphantom has another epic rant that he is breaking into parts, much
like Come Hither. This is not one of those rants. This is meant to be read in one
sitting. It is very violent and intense in places. It is also interesting for anyone
who likes Geek Force, the Webcomic.

Rick Issue 44, and upcoming Redphantom Rant: The Etherist.

Geek Force has released Rick Issue 45. In other news, Redphantom will be posting a new
rant no later than April 14th. It is another dark story, much like the Nightmare Machine.
And it is intense in places, though in a different manner than the Nightmare Machine.
The story focuses on two characters which will become important in Geek Force later on,
Virus I, Virus from Geek Force's father, and Freak, the international terrorist. It also
contains a few other characters which appear in varying degrees. And yes, Geek Force
the Webtoon, is still being worked on, Geek Force has just hit some setbacks. The working
title for the upcoming rant is The Etherist.

The Special 9/11 Issue of Rick, the Cryptozoologist has been released. Redphantom's
9/11 rant will come tomorrow, it is more to criticize the politicization of 9/11 and
what America did in response to 9/11: destroy it's own soul. May all the victims of the
9/11 terrorist attacks, at the world trade center, at the pentagon, and on flight 93
rest in peace. May all of the victims families and the nation to which they belonged
have found the strength to keep on living without them, and may they continue to find that
strength.

released later in the day, as Geek Force has been working on it during the day in

it until everyone has gone home. It will be released on Wednesdays though. In other news,

Rick, the Cryptozoologist Issue 4

Issue 4 of Rick, the Cryptozoologist is out. It was released a bit later in the day
because Redphantom was working on splicing audio together for a project which isn't
an animated version of our flagship project, Geek Force the Webcomic. But, if it was, it
would be an extended version of Issue 3 on steroids. Redphantom is still working on his
rant, but rants take a backseat to other stuff. He might have to release a smaller one
while he works on the new Pekoe one, which may even have to be released in parts.

Issue 2 of Rick, the Cryptozoologist is out. Redphantom made a decent voting incentive

Introducing...Rick's Blog.

The first blog post for the Rick the Cryptozoologist's blog has been released. Along
with the RSS feed to inform about updates to the blog. Redphantom has also added a
privacy policy to the site because our lovely ads now collect enough information that we
need it. In other news, Redphantom is working on a sequel to The Great Cannabinoilis
Pekoe and another rant. He doesn't know when they will be released but he is working on
them. They mostly deal with religion, and the abuse of religion and it's negative
aspects. The second gag strip gets released tomorrow.

The first issue of our new gag strip Rick, the Cryptozoologist, has been released. Rick
also has a separate site where he has sightings of Cryptids, RSS feeds, and eventually
comic archives and a blog. Redphantom also updated the copyright notices on the entire
site and made small changes to almost every page. There will also be changes to Geek
Force's hidden profile page.

New Gag Strip.

As you may have seen at the top of the page, Geek Force is launching a new weekly gag
strip, seeing as Redphantom's rants aren't nearly as popular as the comic. The strip is
Rick, the Cryptozoologist, a character we're had for about three years. We're had the
Geek Force characters for about five. Speaking of Geek Force, the comic went on hiatus
in a really inconvenient spot in the story, don't worry, we will finish Geek Force some
day, but for now, it has to be put on hold. For several reasons, not the least of which
is that it's an intensive project and Geek Force doesn't have too much time right now.
We'll post updates on that as they become available. As for Rick, it's a good project, or
at least, we hope it is. It has the same political humor, it's more like a short three
panel weekly cartoon, but it is much less intensive. So, we should avoid the previous
trouble we had with our deadlines with Geek Force, the Webcomic. Three issues are done,
pretty much. The gags are written, the art is done, Redphantom just needs to put the art
together and add text, with real word balloons. And this way, Geek Force still
has time to work on their top secret project. The site will be going down for a few
hours one day over the next few days when Redphantom adds the new section for Rick, the
Cyptozoologist. Come by the site next Wednesday to check out the first comic. In other
news, Redphantom put out a new rant earlier this week.

New Ranting.

<desciption>
Well, it isn't about Michael Jackson, but, it is a rant. Sorry, but it seems like
Redphantom was a little slow to get a rant out, so too much time passed to make a decent
rant about him and for it still to be relevant. Fortunately, Redphantom has replaced his
original rant with one much better, one about, of course, The Great Cannabinoilis Pekoe.
Redphantom will try and put rants out more often, though, his life is still a bit of a
mess for the moment, so, no promises on when new rants will come. Redphantom will also
post any other updates about Geek Force as they become available.
</desciption>

We're not dead...yet.

Sorry for the lack of update, and for not posting any kind of content whatsoever. Geek
Force the Webcomic is still on hiatus. Geek Force, now consisting of four members, only
three of whom have characters in the comic are working very slowly on another project.
Partly because we want to avoid the earlier works in this project from being as bad as
the early comics, so, we're trying to learn before we release something publicly, and,
we want to be sure it goes through. All Redphantom is doing for this project is the
writing and the technical aspects of the art. Stephen the Grand and DC are doing the real
artwork. We're also really behind, and Redphantom has rarely been behind on writing
before, even in the worst of the comic delays, so, ultimately, the decision to put the
comic on hiatus seems to be the correct one. Every member of Geek Force is busy trying
to sort out other things, so, it would make it hard to do a Webcomic right now. We'll
release more info on our top secret project when Redphantom is confident it will come
to pass. Geek Force was actually working on this before the comic, and during a large
part of it's production, and it fell through before, several times. So, Redphantom won't
release info on it before he is sure it will be released. The comic was mainly designed
to give us something to do until this came through. That's why it's more Redphantom and
Stephen's thing. In other news, Redphantom made a rant which is called Michael Steele
is Whiter than Mr. Rogers. Redphantom will also post another rant soon, which deals with
the media obsession with Michael Jackson and celebrities in general. Plus, even though
My True Calling is Killing Babies didn't do as well as even our lowest rated comics, he
still wants to do a sequel to it. Redphantom will do his best to keep the site updated.

Geek Force is on Indefinite Hiatus

Geek Force, the Webcomic has been placed on indefinite hiatus while Redphantom sorts out
some personal things. Redphantom still plans to post rantings and things, his big 17
page rant was something of a test to see if he could use that for content for the site
should Geek Force go into a hiatus. A fair am mount of people seemed to read it, so,
Redphantom might use rants and short stories for content. It only took a weekend to do
that entire rant, unlike most issues of Geek Force. With rants being less time consuming,
he should still be able to do those. Redphantom could also create a page and RSS feed
with news regarding to the hiatus and when it might end, assuming it does, if there is
demand for that.

New Rant Posted

Redphantom has posted a new rant, coming in at 17 pages called, "My True Calling Is

Redphantom is still working on Issue 30, he hopes to have it out this week.

Issue 30 Update

Redphantom has finished the upgrades to the interface, they will be debuting shortly,
once Redphantom has a chance to test them. In other news, Redphantom has posted a
picture of Jew Avenger's laboratory. Keep in mind, this background is actually
1566x1200 pixels big, so in the comic we will never see as much of it as featured here.
Also, this is the effect that will be used in Jew Avenger's flashbacks within Issue 30,
as a parody of pulp comics.

Issue 30 Update

Redphantom has updated the interface to support captions, which means progress as far as
Issue 30 is concerned. All comics after Issue 30 will support captions at the bottom of
the screen. Redphantom will try to get Issue 30 Part 1 out this weekend. It's good. In
other news, Redphantom is also adding another feature to the interface, which will be
retroactive, and effect Issue 1 Remake, Issue 19, Arc 2 end, Issues 25 and up, it is the
ability to bookmark your place in a comic. Primarily so that Redphantom can link back to
a comic with the bookmarking feature because he's so damn subversive and important
points are mentioned in passing. The captions should also tell when it would be good to
look back. This is also so that there can still be two parters. Right now, it would be
impossible to skip to a specific place within a comic. Redphantom is fixing that.

Special Issues Section Added

Redphantom added the Issue 1 Remake as the latest comic, and created a section for
special issues. Like the Halloween Issue. If you've never read it, it's Stephen the
Grand's thing, and it's good. In other news, Redphantom is working on the interface so
he can get Issue 30 out. Still working on it. Also, Redphantom is able to work on it
again after getting the new Ubuntu/installing a new video card that was unsupported.
Luckily, the high resolution makes up for all that pain and effort, one gig, bitches.

The Issue 1 Remake: How Not to Make a Good First Impression...AGAIN, has been released.
It is quite a bit different from the original, satirizing a different topic, and having
many new jokes. In other news, Issue 30 is still delayed. Redphantom will post updates
on it's progress as it becomes available.
